I do field service on medical equipment, so I don't have an office to report to. Some days I don't leave the home office and some days I never see it.

I work long hours and sometimes don't see LO from morning til night.

But on days off I overload with taking LO from bed, feeding her breakfast and sometimes taking her out on short trips so DW can sleep in. Also I try to push the stroller all day if I can!

We finish with bath time and then DW puts her to bed.

Sometimes if LO can't sleep I get involved in laying her down...

Well thank you sir! But I have to say, for the first 18 months or so of me working from home, little jacks napped on me in an ergo, so there was no chance of me napping what so ever!

@Mr. Jacks: Wow, talk about the power of telecommuting!

I'm amazed... I just am not that productive at home. Plus if I watch the kids, when they nap I often want to nap too. Maybe you just have more energy/discipline than me! *hat tip*

Well, I basically worked while little jacks was asleep. Before I was a stay at home dad (before our move to SLC) I worked in the office, then the move happened and I kept my job. At that point I was able to get done in 2 hours what I was getting done in 8 in the office. That was strictly due to the fact that I was not distracted by fellow workers. So instead of working 40+ I was working 20- a week. But there were weeks where I would work extra durring the night near software releases.

I work for myself so juggle between working from home and from warehouse. I'm also juggling the changes both with a new baby and the business in the current economic climate. A longer term goal is to work more from home. The failing of that is actually getting the work done when I'm at home. My son is a wonderful distraction, I can only see him getting better at that!

A writing project I've also been working on keeps getting pushed back. Though I doubt being a dad is stopping anything or even slowing it down. There's that little extra incentive to get things done the more time I spend with my boy.

I worked for 2 years from home and also took care of little jacks. It was probably the best experience of my life.

I recently took a position locally so I am no longer working from home. It was probably one of the hardest decisions to make (other than I was miserable at my job). Not being able to see my girls grow up and develop the way I did before.

If I could find a position that pays near what I make now that allows me to work from home, I would take it in a heart beat! Though trying to get any work done with 2 girls would be next to impossible without help!

I work outside of the house. I am a college instructor, so not much I can do about that right now. I would love to get an online teaching position so I could work from home, but at my college all these positions are filled and no sign of them opening up any time soon.

Wondering if you work at home, work out of home, stay at home with the kids, or something else entirely...

I personally work out of the home most days these days, but sometimes I work from home if I can swing it. It makes for a much less frantic commute back before the daycare closes at 6 pm!

Do you work at home, work out of home, stay home with the kids, or something else entirely?
