@dookie32: If you like local non-beer drinks, I can't recommend de la Costa sangria enough. It's from the Glunz Family Winery in Grayslake, and the white sangria is SO DELICIOUS on these super-hot summer evenings. And it's strong. Very strong.

@Pipers Mommy: Not many people do, but it's cheap and lite so not as many calories.

It used to be Magic Hat No9 but now I love me a Ice cold Corona with lime. Especially in Mexico!
I also love Sam Adams Oktoberfest.

We're also spoiled with TONs of microbrews around here! Love microbrews. We made our own beer for our wedding!

@dookie32: I'm also in the 'burbs (and nowhere near Grayslake) but never have problems finding it in my nearby liquor stores. Binny's probably carries it!

So many beers, so little time! I am happy to have pretty much any microbrew, but off the top of my head some of my absolute favorites are:

    Dogfish Head World Wide Stout
    New Belgium Frambozen (winter)
    Great Lakes Christmas Ale (winter)
    Sonoran Brewing Inebriator

    YUM!

My fave include: Blue Moon, Wachussett Blueberry ale, Boston Beer Works' Watermelon ale and this summer I tried Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy and it's very good!

Right now, i love Hitachino Nest White Ale. It is like Blue Moon, but so much more flavour! I buy them from a local wine shop, but it is out of stock quite frequently.
