@mrbee: in my mind I think of like for my husband's birthday after our BFP I got him & baby matching nfl outfits. So things that are centered around being a dad. But not specifically just for him as a person.

Love this question! I also think of dad gifts as pictures of him with LO in a special "Dad" frame, or a piece of art that LO makes him.

I think dad gifts are great! Most of my life is centered around our little ones, so anything that is for them as well is as good as being for me.

i think gifts are great period! and the added recognition of it being for me as a "dad" is awesome.
...but maybe it's because i've only been a dad for only 2.5 years so far... maybe 15 years and many a tie/picture frame/mug later, I might feel a bit more cynical. A Cosby moment comes immediately to mind:
